Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Love Liberty

First up discovering Beautylish has made my wallet cry a little but has finally given me access to products like Charlotte Tilbury. I love that with a purchase of USD $75 or more I get free international shipping. Hence my splurge on these lipsticks.

I simply love the rose gold casing. I was surprised that each lipstick came individually wrapped in black paper inside the boxes. I don't think it was necessary and actually quite a waste of paper, but it was a nice touch.

It was really difficult for me to decide which shades to get. I really wanted a red but I have so many already. Instead I picked Amazing Grace, Love Liberty and Bond Girl based on the online swatches.

Love Liberty
Top to Bottom: Love Liberty, Bond Girl and Amazing Grace

Love Liberty is a gorgeous plum with hints of red. It settles to a satiny matte that does not look like all moisture has been sucked out of my lips. It is one of the most comfortable matte lipsticks I have worn so far. It does not dry out my lips and reapplies so well. I have nothing but love for it.

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo 214 Message

I have not been interested in Chanel products for quite some time now. These lipsticks however peaked my interest and made me go to the counter on the rare occasion I was free. You know me, I can't go home with just one. In the end I picked 4 which were my kind of colours.

This is a nice weighty twist up pen that clicks when you twist up. Do not twist up too much because it does not go back into the tube. Just one click is enough to get product out.

I have here Message, a beautiful warm red plum shade.

Left to right: Historie, Roman, Recit and Message
The textures of these lipsticks are amazing. When I applied them on my lips, I literally oohed and aahed. They have a lot of slip but miraculously adheres to my lips without moving all over the place. My trick is to wipe off my lip balm before applying this. I do feel I need a lip brush so that I can get precise lines.

Bottomline, nothing but love for these lipsticks. It feels so balmy and comforting. It is hydrating and does not dry out my lips. The best part is the intense opaque colours.

Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil 024 Sparkling Framboise

To be honest, I am not into the cushion foundation craze. I don't feel that it will give me the finish I want from my beloved foundations. I will however try a cushion blush because hey blush fiend here. I did not see many reviews about Lancome's Cushion Blush so this was really bought for the sake of experimentation. Hehe that is what I tell myself.

The cushion blush comes in a portable compact with a kinda sponge applicator. I have to tell you upfront I hate that applicator. It makes my blush application patchy. I prefer using my brush dedicated for liquid and cream blushes. It applies better.

You peel that plastic tab back and viola pretty blush! It is very saturated so I don't even press down, I just light dab. You can avoid it drying out because you and close it tight without fear of anything leaking out.

The colour is a pretty pink coral. It stays put throughout the day. It should be applied after foundation but not over powder. It makes application patchy.

Three Shimmering Color Veil Fame, Ziggy, Just Like Heaven and Golden Gossip

I thought I was over loose pigments.I hate how troublesome they can be but these were impulse purchases made just before boarding at Haneda airport last year.

Best used over cream shadows to add sparkle or over eye shadow primer. These are soft, sheer and finely milled. I use my fingers to pick up pigments. Using a brush caused pigments to fly all over the place. There was minor fall out. My favourite of them all is Ziggy for its sparkle.

Left to right: Fame, Just like heaven, Ziggy and Golden Gossip
Ziggy pressed on top of cream shadow
Golden Gossip pressed on top of Tom Ford Burnished Copper
Just Like Heaven pressed on top of Tom Ford Midnight Violet
Just Like Heaven and Fame are very similar with the former being sparklier.

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil Rhubarb

Here is the second product I bought from Bite Beauty. I love this! Creamy and opaque on one swipe. It lasts well and felt very comfortable on my lips. No need for an extra lip pencil, this fella draws a precise line. I adore the colour too. It is a twist up pencil. I found out the hard way though. I tried sharpening it. Facepalm.

Bite Beauty Butter Cream Lipstick in Heather

I have been crazy over lipsticks lately. After going crazy over Nudestix, Bite Beauty got my attention. Unfortunately it  is darn hard to get access to Bite Beauty. I only managed to get this because a fellow beauty addict was visiting the US and she didn't mind buying them for me. (Thanks Luna!)

I was determined to try the different variations so I bought a Butter Cream Lipstick and a High Pigment Pencil. I would have gotten the Matte Creme Lip Crayons but unfortunately the set I wanted was out of stock. After getting my hands on these I know I want more, especially the Amuse Bouche line.

Butter Cream lipsticks are said to be creamy. Oh yes they are. They glide onto my lips effortlessly with the right amount of slip.

Here is the ingredient list:

-5 Mg Trans-Resveratrol From Vitis Vinifera and Polygonum Cuspidatum

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Rosinate, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Triisostearyl Citrate, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil*, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil*, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Cera (Wax), Polymethyl Methacrylate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil*, Flavor (Aroma), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax*, Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax*,Polyglyceryin-3*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Athemis Noblis (Chamomile) Flower Extract*, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Butter*, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Silk Powder, Pearl Powder*, Glyceryl Oleate*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables*, Tocopherol*, Trans-Resveratrol*, Siraitia Grosvenorii (Monk Fruit) Extract*, +/- May Contain: Mica (Cl 77019), Titanium Dioxide (Cl 77891), Iron Oxides (Cl 77491, Cl 77492, Cl 77499), Carmine (Cl 75470), Blue 1 Lake (Cl 42090), Yellow 5 Lake (Cl 19140), Yellow 6 Lake (Cl 15985), Red 40 Lake (Cl 16035), Red 6 Lake (Cl 15850), Red 7 Lake (Cl 15850), Red 33 Lake (Cl 17200), Manganese Violet (Cl 77742)*, Bismuth Oxychloride (Cl 77163), Magnesium Stearate.

I love the no fuss packing and the bullet is a non traditional flat surface. Honestly it made it hard to apply a precise lip so a lip brush is needed.

Left to right: Heather and Rhubarb (to be reviewed soon)

I love the colour but honestly the texture and formula was not up to my expectations. I was hoping for it to be more emollient and more slip considering the name Butter Cream. It was comfortable to wear on my lips but it did not last long. It disappeared after lunch. To think of the hassle I took to buy this.
