I wanted to show you my red lipsticks.
You know, I wasn't always in love with red lipsticks. I have full lips and was always worried about how obvious they looked. Red lips was a no no for me because I didn't want people looking at me. When I was younger I lacked self-confidence. I always felt that people were looking at me.
As I mature, I realise that actually no one is looking. I picked up hobbies that build my self-confidence. Makeup for me now is a form of expression. I don't mind experimenting and I realise that hey my full lips is actually suitable for reds and brights. I have not looked back since.
My very first red lipstick was from Chanel called Lune Rousse. It is a deep maroon red. It is the fifth swatch from the right. I still kept it all these years even though I hardly use it anymore.

The trick with reds is you need to find one that suits your colouring. The wrong red just looks garish. With fuller lips like mine, go for matte versions with a hint of shine. Stay away from glosses or shiny reds because they will only emphasize how thick your lips are.
I always love a good creamy luxe red lipstick. My favourite texture has to be the Burberry Lip Cover Velvets and the Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani.
If you haven't worn a red lipstick before, go ahead try one. You never know how you like it until you tried it.
