Burberry Lip Mist Swatches

I received this little sample from the Burberry counter during one of my hauls so I thought I would do a little swatch fest for all of you.

Copper Mist

This is a nice nude brown colour, if I ever wanted to venture into nudes, this would be a shade I would pick. It allows some of my natural lip color to come through so it does not look mask like.

Feather Pink

I did not like this, it became a milky pink on my lips which totally washes me out.

Rosy Red

My favourite of the bunch. If you are afraid of full on red, you should try this, it goes on as a nice rosy red stain.

Blueberry

I'm not a wine colored enthusiast so this did not excite me much.

Incidently, while I was swatching my full size Camelia Pink, I think perhaps I was a tad too hard when swatching, my beloved lipstick is now leaning to the side. They are very soft so be careful when you use them. Do not turn the tube all the way up.

I liked Rosy Red so much I promptly went and bought the full tube. This is a lovely sheer red  that is totally work friendly.

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base review and swatches

I am always searching for the best eye shadow primer. I have oily lids and teary eyes. I also like my eye shadows to stand out and be true to colour. When Elaine mentioned that she really liked the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base I jumped at the opportunity to get a tube for myself to try.

This costs USD $24, I paid about SGD$36 for it which I thought was a really good deal.

It comes with a doe foot applicator which I use to apply on my lids. Instead of using the brush to blend the primer onto my lids, I prefer to use my fingers instead. The packaging is reminiscent of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. There is no way I'll be able to get to the remaining product stuck  in the bottom of the tube. I don't think I can saw the tube either to get at the left over.

It is a creamy white which blends very easily into a transparent base.

After two hours later. After much rubbing against my t-shirt.

I have worn it almost everyday to test this out. My eye look stays put throughout the day, although it doesn't look like it was freshly applied after 10 hours it still looks very good. I did not experience any smudging at all. That makes it a winner for me.

Lush Bath Bombs!

I love bath tubs! I love soaking in bath tubs! I love everything about bath tubs! Unfortunately living in a flat in Singapore doesn't allow you the luxury of having a bath tub. 

I think part of the allure of bath tubs for me is the fact that it is a rare treat. So when I get the opportunity I tote along my bath soaks, bubble bath and what have you.

I have been wanting to try Lush Bath Bombs since I laid my eyes on them. Bath Bombs make me want to go out and buy a bath tub!

When I heard that DH was going to bring us for a staycation I headed down to Lush to pick up some bath bombs to try. You know the feeling of being in a candy store, I was exactly like that. So many bath bombs so few occasions to use them. I eventually settled for three.

I bought for myself Think Pink SGD$7.90, Rose Queen SGD $8.50 and Space Girl SGD $6.50.

Are they gorgeous! I left that at the hotel sink and the bathroom smelled so good for the few days we were staying there!

Space Girl

I left Space Girl for my DS to use because it is blue and looks like a planet. He was excited and was expecting it to explode since it was called a bath bomb. Unfortunately no pictures of how it looks like. It turned the water to a light blue though.

Lush Bath Bombs are a luxury but something worth trying. They make your skin smell so good and just soaking in it made me feel relaxed and pampered.

12th Wedding Anniversary FOTD

I am terrible at packing my beauty items for holidays. I tend to bring way too much.  This is what I brought for a 4 day staycation.

My make up roll that I had for donkey years, it is the most useful thing ever.

From top to bottom: My trusty Sephora brush which I use with my concealers, two of my Sigma brushes one for blending the other for my crease, my old MAC eye shadow brush, my Hakuhodo liquid highlighter brush, another of my Sigma eye brushes and my old MAC blush brush.

Do you know how hard it is to limit my lipsticks? I always always bring along a red lipstick. I brought my Nars Dolce Vita Velvet Matt Lip Pencil, my mini Burberry GWP in Copper Mist and Camelia Pink, my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Romance and my Guerlain Rouge Automatique in L'heure Bleue.

Only two blush? I must be crazy ;) Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain Petal and Chanel JC Rose Petal.

I only had my phone with me so pardon the crappy picture. Our anniversary was on a weekday so DH arranged for a staycation to celebrate our 12 years of being together. I always wanted to eat at il Lido so we went there and had a marvellous meal. I am truly blessed.
