Sponsored: Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Kit and Aqua Cream No. 4 Swatches and giveaway CLOSED

(Information taken from Make Up For Ever Press Kit)

Award-winning, waterproof, smudge-proof, and fade-proof eyeliner that doubles as a vibrant eyeshadow. Dany Sanz originally created this product for performers of water ballet.
This best-selling eyeliner has become a favorite among all women who fear the dreaded raccoon eyes. Formulated to glide on effortlessly and withstand the most extreme conditions, it stays put on eyelids without melting for precise application and intense color throughout the day.

Consists of Aqua Eyes in:
11L Purple

12L Blue with Green Highlights
21L Dark Grey
0L Matte Black
2L Pearly Brown
3L Iridescent Navy Blue

SGD $65

These are creamy and glide on my lids. They make great cream shadows when smudged and make great bases for intensify powder eye shadows. But unfortunately they still smudge on me. You can read my original  review of the OL matte black eye pencil here.

Here is the Aqua Cream in No. 4 a pearly white shade. Great for the inner corner of the eyes. SGD $39. Aqua Creams are waterproof and don't smudge. Check out my original review of them here. I do find the metallic/pearly versions more challenging to blend as compared to the matte ones. The trick is to do one eye at a time and blend quick.

Ladies, I have an extra brand new Aqua Eyes in 0L Matte Black to give away since I already bought one quite some time back. So if you want to give the Aqua Eyes a try, leave a comment with your email address and tell me which is your favourite eye pencil. Closing date 9th December 2012, Sunday 6 p.m. Singapore time.

  2. Hi!I've always wanted to try Aqua Eyes but it is beyond my budget so I'm so glad you are having a giveaway. So far, all the eyeliners I've used have smudged heavily under the hot weather.

My favorite eye pencil right now is Loreal Superliner in brown. Its not perfect but its good for tightlining since its very fine and narrow.

  3. SO pretty! I'm eyeing the navy, purple, and brown ones!! I like the Aqua Eyes formula. It doesn't stay put on me all day either, but it's one of the best I've found. It WAS my favorite eyeliner until recently, when I tried the Giorgio Armani waterproof liner in brown. It was a GWP. Soooo glad I did because it is quite literally the BEST eyeliner I've EVER ever used. Have you tried them, Jacqueline? They're soooooo smooth and there is not even the slightest hint of tug or drag when you apply them. Plus it's so rich and pigmented and blends well but lasts ALL day! I definitely plan on getting the black one. I just wish they offered more colors--but I guess I will stick with Make Up For Ever for that

Anyway, thanks for the awesome giveaway, Jacqueline!

    1. Becca, I've been dying to get my hands on the Giorgio Armani water proof eye pencil, but it's been out of stock. I just ordered stuff from Nordstrom and I forgot to buy the eye pencil, argh!

  4. Alas, all the eye pencils I've tried thus far smudge on me, even waterproof ones. Well, maybe except for one, but I'm not too sure as it is a light olive khaki colour so smudges may not have been obvious. Anyway, it's definitely my favourite eye pencil. And a very precious one at that! It's the THREE Flash Performance Eyeliner pencil.

Anyway, I'm lacking a black eye pencil to use as a base for smokey looks so here's my email address: tanwy22@yahoo(dot)com

Thanks for yet another generous giveaway! ;)

    1. Nonno, we are in the same boat. All pencils smudge on me.

  5. This reminds me: I got a mini black one a while ago. I have to take it out and see how the formula works! This is such an adorable pencil set. I got one from UD a couple of years ago. Since I only line my lower lash line with them, they're lasting forever!

    1. I have tried the UD version too, it still smudged on me. That is why I try my best not to line my lower lash line. It is not one of my habits.

  6. Hello Jacqueline!!

Firstly, an online search for YSL's popular glossy stains led me to your informative blog!! And i ve been always checking back since then! I liked reading your local staycations as well as being awed by your performance! Wow! It would take me 3 lifetimes to dare rock the dance moves! But it was impressive and you ladies have great figures despite being a mom! I hope i can even maintain the figure like yours when i become a mom!!

I look forward to your EOTDs of the Aqua eyes!! My fav eyeliner will be Clio's gelpresso in the Navy color! So far it is one eye pencil that does not crease that bad on my oil-lliee lids! Thank You so much for hosting the giveaway bcoz i cannot afford the steeper priced aqua eyes as i am still a student... :( I hope i get a chance to try but otherwise, its still my pleasure being your reader!! Heres my email add: chu_yi_jing_@hotmail.com

Thank You and have a sweet week ahead! (:

I think we should just live our lives to the fullest where ever it may take us. Don't you think? I have the Clio gelpresso too in a teal colour. Every time I go to Watsons to look for the black one, it is OOS. Th teal one did not smudge on me that much, I hope the black will be the same. Have a great week ahead. My performance is this Saturday and I'm getting all jittery!

Good luck n the giveaway :)

  7. My favourite eye pencil is a cult/lesser known brand - Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen. It's called a pen, but actually a pencil. It's really intense, and I thought even more intense than my UD 24/7 pencils and it really lasts through the day! :) Love it! I only have the black tulip (dark violet), but I have been trying to hunt down all the colors. Would love to try the MUFE though, since I have not tried it before, and am still quite a novice when it comes to eyeliners! :)

Good luck for Groovy Movie Night! I won't be there as I will be at a farewell BBQ for a friend, but I know you will do just fine!

    1. Hey KS, aw... have fun at your friends BBQ, no worries, I bet they will be taking videos. I'm very nervous! We just finally finished choreographing our final 8 steps on Saturday so have only two more practices to polish up. Argh!!! Panicking! That Pixi pen sounds very interesting!

      Good luck babe!

  8. I am eyeing on the grey one 21L as it can be use to replace black eyeliner for day use. I have never tried any MUFE pencil eyeliner yet and would love to try the formula :)For colored pencil eyeliner, I am using Clio which is pretty good. There are slight smudges on me at the end of the day but it comes in a more affordable price so I am fine with that :)

  9. I've only tried a few drugstore eyeliners and I have quite a problem with smudging. They smudge on my double eyelids, and if I draw wings they smudge off very easily as well. Do you get that too? But right now the one I like most is the Maybelline gel liner and I can draw very fine, natural looking lines. I haven't tried liquid ones! I'm gonna try the urban decay pencil soon and I hope it will work well. My favourite color from here is the 12L.

My email is thinkting@gmail.com. Thanks Jacqueline for all your reviews!

    1. Hey Ting, I face exactly the same problem as you. It is so frustrating not to find a good eye liner. I have tried the Maybelline gel liner before, I find that they dry up after a few months of use. They smudge on me too!
      Good luck on the giveaway!

  10. My fave eyeliner is actually by Tarte! It's got the creaminess of UD but it does not smudge how UD does! :)

The Milani eyeliners are pretty good, they last literally all day. No smudges! The only bad thing was that they irritated my eyes but if you don't have sensitive eyes I think they are one of the best pencils out there!
