Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Duo Blush Peach Boy Swatches and Reviews

Today I have for you the Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Duo Blush in Peach Boy. I am not sure if you have seen the promotion picture for this, you can find it at Temptalia's. For me the whole kaleidoscope of blush colours are so pretty and inviting. Blush is one of my main weaknesses, I can't get enough of them so this was something I had to try.

The Rose Aux Joues Duo Blush comes in the same luxe gold casing as that of the Les Fauves eye shadow palette.

The blush brush given is so so. It is soft enough to use on my face without being scratchy.

The shade on the top of the palette is a matte peachy orange shade whereas the other s a shimmery gold peach shade. I must be pampered by my Chanel and Burberry because as much as I like the colours I am not in love with it. I find the blushes to be a tad harder in texture and not as finely milled as compared to my favourite blushes.

I love the luxe casing but I wish the blush powder was more finely milled. At SGD $70, the quality should match or even surpass Chanel or Burberry. I was hoping to be completely wowed by this.

The colour selection is pretty though and Peach Boy suits for my warm skin tone perfectly. I also like that I am able to mix and match both shades. It is a nice to have blush not a must have. I don't think I'll be getting any more.

Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Les Fauves Swatches and Reviews

This was my lastest Sephora haul. I heard news of the arrival of the Guerlain fall collection. I first saw swatches of Les Fauves on Cafe Makeup I knew I had to go swatch it for myself. The pearly coral/orange tinted browns just got to me.

My haul plus samples
Anyway I have for you the Ecrin 4 Couleurs in Les Fauves.

This is my first Guerlian eye shadow palette. I have been wanting one but I have not found any palettes that caught my eyes visually. Let's just say that it was love at first swatch and the rest as we say is history.

The eye shadow palette is house in the hefty finger print magnet metal casing. I love the weight of this. It feels so luxurious. I don't care that it attracts fingerprints, it is shiny and that is all that matters.

The mirror can be pushed all the way down, in case you were curious. I was in my rattiest t-shirt so to protect your eyes from seeing a totally unkempt blogger I used my pillowcase to protect your eyes and my modesty.

It comes with a sponge applicator. I used to hate these sponge applicators but if I wanted really intense colour these guys do the job very well. I love the addition of the sharp almost triangular sponge tip, I can line my eyes with the quite easily.

Oops I realised I did not swatch these in order. From the left side of my arm swatch, I have the matte orange colour found in the middle bottom of the palette. The 2nd colour is a orangy brown shade found on top of the palette. 3rd shade is the one on the right side of the palette and the 4th is the shade on the left.

They are gorgeously smooth, buttery and pigmented. Me loves!

This is a very warm palette, it may not be suitable for some but I love this to bits. Here is how I wear it.

The lightest shade (right of the palette) on the inner corner

Second lightest shade (top) on the outer corner working it in and blending upwards over crease

Darkest shade (left) on the outer corner
Brightest shade (bottom) using a blending brush place and blend above the crease near outer corner and apply brow highlighter shade
This look can look like you have been punched if you do not anchor it with dark eye liner. I think you can get away with dark brown but I love my black eye liner.

Line eyes
Apply mascara

NARS Smudgeproof eye shadow base
Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Les Fauves
Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow Porcelain
Chanel Stylo Yeux Noir Intense
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner Black
Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill waterproof mascara

Giorgio Armani UV Master Primer
Chanel Perfection Lumiere B40
Giorgio Armani Microfil Loose Powder

Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Blush Duo Peach Boy (Review and swatches coming up)

Can you believe my DH actually said ew... before I went out? He did not like it. I guess men prefer the"normal and safe" colours. After a few seconds of self doubt and insecurity I said what the heck who cares and wore it out. I liked the look and no one is going to make me change it.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip 2C
Burberry Lip Mist Pink Heather

The Ecrin 4 Couleurs sell for SGD $83. It is right up there with the rest of the high end brands. For me I think it is worth the price mostly because of the quality of the eye shadows and the interesting colours itself and finally the lovely hefty shiny packaging. The colours are not for everyone so best if you get the MA there to try it on you before you buy.

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Acqua Collection: No. 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 swatches and reviews

I have for you 5 of the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Acqua Collection 2012. As you can see, I went a bit hoard crazy and got for myself 5 out of the six Eyes To Kill. The only one missing is No. 24 which is a golden black shade. You can see the swatch of No. 24 at Temptalia's.

I had a dear friend buy No. 25, 26, 28 and 29 for me in Hong Kong. When I opened them up and saw No. 29 I realised I made a mistake. I meant to get No. 27 I was very glad that our local Giorgio Armani counter received them as fast as they did. They have been saying that they receive collections rather late so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they were available here. So to cut a long story short, my collection is complete in my eyes.

Aren't they absolutely gorgeous?

No. 25 Rusted Gold

No. 26 Carat Gold

No. 27 Oxidised Silver

No. 28 Red Platine

No. 29 Rose Titanium

Finally all the pretty swatches in a row.

Rusted Gold, Gold Carat, Oxidised Silver, Red Platine and Rose Titanium
I find these ETKs to be packed slightly looser than my normal ETKs. They are definitely more glittery and are slightly less pigmented than the normal ones if worn dry and without a primer.

Left to right: Gold Blitz versus Carat Gold
You can also see that some shades are quite close to the normal range. I don't think you need Carat Gold and Red Platine, though they look slightly different you can't really tell the difference when worn on your eyes.

These are still long wearing and I have not experienced any fall out from them.

I have totally gotten my ETK fix and I am very glad I own these. I really hope to do some eye looks with these soon. Stay tuned.
