I confess I am an Anna Sui make up virgin. I have not been interested in her line before until I saw the promo pictures of her Spring 2012 blushes. What is it with the rose/flower print that is popping up everywhere like crazy? And like a sucker I am, I had to pick up not one but 3 because I just couldn't decide which one I liked better.
I reason why I did not buy any products any sooner was their signature rose scent. These blushes have a strong rose scent. Thankfully I okay with the scent. I tolerate it. I left them in my blush drawer and guess what, my drawer has faint rose scent lingering even after one and a half weeks.
The blush comes in a pretty black casing and as you can see the top lid can be pushed all the way down.

301 is is peach pink. The centre whitish flower is shimmery. That shade gives the blush an extra glow.
400 is a straight up rose shade. Again the white shade is shimmery and adds like a highlighter. I love that there are different shades which I can mix. I can mix it any way I want to get a shade I like.
600 is I think the most unique for me. The orange gold shade is just gorgeous.
These blushes cost SGD $49. Not as hefty as the Burberry or Chanel Joues Contraste. They are soft and easily blendable. They are also pigmented so I use my MAC 187 Duo Fiber brush to apply these.

ReplyDeleteHey Pop! I like it too, not overly cutesy just nice.
DeleteWow! Great swatches (as usual)! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't get 400 in the end as I got unexpectedly distracted by 301 which I bought instead. Now seeing your swatches, I know I will get it one day. ;) And I must check out 600. It looks absolutely gorgeous! I'm a sucker for all things gold. :D
Nonno, I think everyone was distracted be 301 it looks the preetiest in the pan.
DeleteI'm also a sucker when it comes to flower! you make me want this blush, 400 looks nice :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, that was the whole reason I delved into Anna Sui, I really dig the pretty flower print.

ReplyDeleteKumiko, then these blush would be right up your alley. The rose scent is quite tenacious, it is still lingering in my drawers.
DeleteThese look great! We've been getting some very pretty compacts recently, and this is certainly one of them! I should check Anna Sui out when I'm back in Taipei this summer :)
ReplyDeleteAre these permanent?
ReplyDeleteHi Ching, thanks for stopping by. I checked Anna Sui's website, it does not say that it is limited edition. So I'm guessing yes they are permanent.
